AI Traffic Is Small - But Punches Above Its Weight in Revenue
Google accounts for 21.37% of total traffic in the dataset, while AI traffic contributes just 0.58% - a gap of roughly 37 to 1. Yet the revenue picture looks strikingly different. Visitors from Google carry an average LTV of $271, while those arriving through AI discovery platforms show an average LTV of $325 - a 20% premium. This signals that users discovering products and services through AI-synthesized results may be further along in their decision-making, or simply more aligned with the content they find.
