⬤ Alibaba Group has issued a major refresh of its Quark AI browser that installs the company's own Qwen language model at the core of every page. From now on Qwen drives AI search, quick assistance and every other smart feature. The new layout places the model on the homepage plus in the sidebar - the tools appear the instant the browser opens.
⬤ Over one hundred million desktop users can type questions straight into the main search bar and receive answers from Qwen. Replies arrive faster, pages condense into summaries without delay but also tasks flow more smoothly, all inside Quark's familiar minimal interface. Alibaba notes that Chinese users want browsing that feels personal and grasps context - the upgrade meets that demand.
Because Qwen sits deep inside Quark, the browser can now stand up to other AI-first rivals across the region.
⬤ The step forms part of Alibaba's wider effort to run Qwen through every product line. The model already powers Alibaba Cloud, enterprise software as well as a range of consumer apps. Adding Quark tightens the family so that one AI engine serves every service. The firm released no revenue figures but stated plainly that the goal is to keep users inside the ecosystem and to deepen their reliance on Qwen.
⬤ The release underlines how quickly AI-native browsing is spreading through China's tech market. By binding Quark besides Qwen closer together, Alibaba secures a stronger place in consumer AI or advances its plan to build a single, dominant platform. The move may steer the company's next steps and give it fresh impetus in the fast changing market for AI applications.
