With 3,960 evaluation appearances recorded, the model has been thoroughly tested across countless prompts and scenarios.
⬤ This is the first public model from Alibaba's Tongyi-MAI team, which works separately from the company's Wan and Qwen divisions. What makes it particularly interesting is its 6B-parameter design that runs on consumer hardware with just 16GB of memory. That means developers can actually run this thing locally without needing enterprise-grade equipment.
⬤ The real game-changer here is pricing. At $5 per 1,000 images on Alibaba Cloud, Z-Image Turbo undercuts practically everyone in the market. Compare that to FLUX.2 [dev] at $12, HiDream-I1-Dev at $26, or Qwen-Image at $20 per 1,000 images. Plus, it's released under Apache 2.0 license, so commercial use is completely open.
